05 December . 2025

365 days of growth, gathering, and good times in Reed's Crossing

What a year it’s been in South Hillsboro! And if we had to sum it up in one word? Momentum. From 19 new businesses opening their doors to over 1,600 neighbors coming together for local events, it was a joy to watch our vision of connection, convenience, and community come to life.

As we look back on 2025, we’re filled with gratitude and pride for how far we’ve come. Each milestone represents not just growth in numbers or buildings, but the shared experiences and sense of belonging that make Reed’s Crossing unique. So if you’re new here—or just want to make sure you’re up to date with what’s happening in your neighborhood—let’s take a look back at some of the highlights that made this year so special.

Reed’s Crossing Town Center brings together local shops and national chains.

🌟 Town Center comes to life

Since April, Reed’s Crossing Town Center has been abuzz with the excitement of shops and restaurants opening, transforming into a lively gathering place for locals and visitors alike. As of December, we’re thrilled to share that 87% of announced Town Center businesses have opened their doors! Whether you’re looking for a cozy café, a local boutique, a fitness studio, or a sweet treat, Town Center is quickly becoming the heart of daily life here—a place to shop, dine, and meet neighbors just steps from home.

🥕 Hillsboro Farmers’ Markets expands

Fresh flavors and local charm filled our Wednesdays as the Hillsboro Farmers’ Markets at Reed’s Crossing expanded to two markets a month, bringing even more farm-fresh produce, artisan goods, and delicious food carts to our community. This year’s markets featured new growers, food vendors, and craftspeople from across Oregon, each adding their own flavor to the mix. It’s become more than a place to shop; it’s a mid-week ritual and a celebration of everything we love about living local.

🏆 Hillsboro earns national recognition

It’s no secret there’s a lot to love about where we live. Now, the rest of the country knows it, too! This year, both Travel + Leisure and U.S. News & World Report named Hillsboro one of the best places to live in America, highlighting our thriving economy, vibrant culture, and beautiful surroundings. These recognitions speak to the balance Hillsboro strikes between opportunity and livability, where tech innovation meets small-town warmth. For residents of Reed’s Crossing, it’s yet another reminder that we’re part of something special, right at the heart of one of Oregon’s most dynamic cities.

🏡 We’re halfway to home

Pop the champagne! Earlier this year, we officially reached the halfway point in home sales. Each new resident adds to the energy and spirit of our growing neighborhood, and we’re so grateful for everyone who has chosen to call Reed’s Crossing home. Strolling along the winding paths that tie our community together, you can feel a sense of rhythm, from morning dog walkers to evening porch gatherings. Every home tells a story, and together those stories are shaping a community that’s vibrant, welcoming, and full of promise.

🧘‍♀️ New traditions come to life

This year, the Reed’s Crossing HOA and Social Committee kicked off several firsts, brainstorming new ways for neighbors to celebrate together and create lasting memories. This year’s inaugural events included weekly yoga in the park, a catered dinner in the community garden, a community game night, a delicious celebration of Oktoberfest, and trick-or-treating through Town Center, which delighted ghosts and goblins of all ages (even those with fur). The excitement and turnout for these first-time events were amazing, and we wouldn’t be surprised if some of them become annual traditions!

🌳 Three new parks opened

With the planned opening of our ninth and tenth parks—including a u-pick orchard, a dog park, and play areas that weave seamlessly into the fabric of the neighborhood—we’re continuing to expand green spaces for residents of all ages to play, relax, and connect. Whether it’s a quiet morning walk, a weekend soccer game, or an impromptu sunset picnic, our parks have become the backdrop for many special memories, and each one brings us closer to our goal of ensuring that nature and community connection are just a short stroll from every front door.

As we look toward the year ahead, we’re excited about what’s next: new neighbors, new experiences, and even more opportunities to come together. Plans are already underway for more parks, programs, and additions that will shape the fabric of life here. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year one to remember—we can’t wait to see what the next one brings.
