Meet Our New VP of Operations
Newland Communities has named Eric Peterson vice president of operations for Reed’s Crossing. Eric originally joined Newland in 2017 as senior project manager of Reed’s Crossing, leading design, entitlement, and infrastructure construction.
After graduating from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Eric worked for his family’s home building business in the San Francisco Bay Area managing land acquisition and entitlements. He then founded Praxis Capital, a private equity real estate investment firm, where he served as managing director from 2008 until 2013. In 2013, Eric moved to Bend Oregon where he worked for Hayden Homes, managing land development throughout the state of Oregon. In his free time Eric enjoys playing tennis and fly fishing the beautiful rivers of the Pacific Northwest. When not on the water, Eric and his wife Lori are out chasing their two golden retrievers Lars and Arlo.
Once fully constructed Reed’s Crossing will provide 2,300 units of single family housing, 1,300 units of multifamily housing, 3 school sites, a mixed use town center and over 60 acres of open space.
