HILLSBORO SCHOOL DISTRICT—BUILDING BRIGHT FUTURES

The Hillsboro School District delivers excellent results for students from many different backgrounds. Graduation rates are well above the state’s average, and there’s a strong focus on finding the best ways to prepare students for rewarding, in-demand careers, like partnering with industry leaders in the area. The district is passionate about developing and diversifying its offerings for students, and it’s investing heavily in programs and facilities to develop even better resources. A $408 million construction bond that includes $30 million for investments in expanded technology infrastructure was recently passed. The future is bright for HSD, and the residents of Reed’s Crossing will be part of it.

NEW SCHOOLS FOR THE COMMUNITY

A spacious site right in the heart of Reed’s Crossing has already been set aside for building a brand-new elementary school. In fact, the Hillsboro School District owns 40 acres in Reed’s Crossing and is planning to build two or three elementary schools and one middle school. The first proposed elementary school is anticipated to be completed within the next few years, and early residents of the community will be able to have their children be part of bringing this education resource to life. Reed’s Crossing and the Hillsboro School District know the importance of making our community a hub of learning.
